Some emails are worth reading, but not worth being interrupted by. Newsletters, offers, order updates, the weekly round-up from a shop you like. Individually they're fine. Arriving one at a time, all day, they're what makes an inbox feel relentless.

A **Rollup** gathers those emails up and delivers them together, as a single email, at a time you choose. Instead of thirty interruptions across the week, you get one tidy digest.

## How it works

You pick which senders go into a Rollup. From then on, when one of them emails you:

1. We move the email out of your inbox before you see it.
2. We hold on to it until your next Rollup is due.
3. At that point everything we've collected arrives as one email, called an **issue**.

Your inbox stays quiet in between, and nothing you signed up for goes missing.

## What happens to the original emails

They're moved into a folder called `_lma-rollups` in your mailbox. They're never deleted.

That folder is yours. The emails stay there even if you pause the Rollup, delete it, or close your Leave Me Alone account entirely. See [Finding and deleting rolled-up emails in your mailbox](/doc/finding-and-deleting-rolled-up-emails-in-your-mailbox-zSc2neaRwJ) if you want to clear it out.

## When your Rollup arrives

That's up to you. A Rollup can arrive daily or weekly, on the days you choose, at a time that suits you. New Rollups are set to 8am every day until you change it.

You also choose which of your connected accounts it gets delivered to. [Creating, editing, and deleting your Rollups](/doc/creating-editing-and-deleting-your-rollups-eRYFcfkHAp) covers how to set all of this up.

## Reading an issue

Your Rollup arrives as a normal email, so you can read it wherever you read your mail. Each issue lists the emails we've collected, and you can open any of them in full.

You can also read your issues in the app on the [Rollups page](https://app.leavemealone.com/rollups), which is handy for going back through older ones. If you'd like a short written summary at the top of each issue, see [AI Rollup Summaries](/doc/ai-rollup-summaries-qsJWvNzy28).

## What's worth rolling up

Anything you want to keep receiving but don't need the moment it's sent. Newsletters and marketing emails are the obvious ones, along with social notifications and shop updates.

It's worth leaving out anything time-sensitive, like receipts, delivery notifications, or security and verification emails. Those are better off arriving straight away, and you can mark them as **Keep** so they always land in your inbox.
